Finally!! I read this book (Its been since 2006 that I ve been wanting to read it so badly) And it couldnt be better. First of all, i Love the way Jules Watson writes. I find it totally traping. She knows how to speak of history and make it sound like its actually a magical world. I love it.
About the characters, they may have some isues, like they dont always evolve the way its suposed to be. (in book 1 some isues were solved and in book 2 they return) but i guess some psychological troubles are harder to get rid off. Aside from that, i LOVE the characters... every one of them, ive loved them since the first book and they gave me no reason for stop doing it.
The story... OMG, the story...  first to say, its based almost all of it in real History... sooo its not so pretty (war, romans, blood... we know how does that finish). BUT... its so deep and touching  that actually its worth it. Believe me, I cried... and cried a LOT. Its one of those stories in which you need to know the end but you just dont want it to be over... I loved it, (even if i liked a little bit more the first book).

The cover was not exactly beautifull... I mean, maybe this is why the sales were not as high as expected: the covers (at least the english-written ones) are not as atractive as they could have been. Even though they are not ugly nor away from the content... they just dont show much.
The ending... Oh THAT ending... I cried and cried and cried for at least two hours... but its not sad... it beautifull, sweet, touching, romantic... Some kind of unexpected though (At some point at the story i though everything could be happening at the end) Even so, i didnt loved it... maybe because i wanted it not-to-be-finished so much... yeah, i think something has to do with that.

I totally recomend reading this series.

Despues de una larga espera (desde aprox el 2006) por fin llego a mi este librito maravilloso... The dawn stag de Jules watson. Es la segunda Dalriada part of the trilogy, beginning with the white mare, one of my favorite books.
The style of the author I love. Historical data makes Paresce be removed from a magical world. His narrative is rich in feeling and detail. is versatile, molded to the time and, in a nutshell. Veeeeery good. At first I had my doubts .. . Especially because I was accustomed to read in English (must have read the white horse as ten times) but I'm not disappointed for a moment.
The characters ... to say. I am in love with them for years and did not give me any reason to stop trying. They are comprehensive, three-dimensional depth. you get to feel the force behind every one of them, mourn their losses smile and his jokes. Compared with the previous book, I thought some conflicts resolved in the first book seem to return the same, but in the end everything works out perfectly. Some psychological conflicts are harder to overcome than others I suppose.
The plot ... Oh! The plot!. To begin I must say that is based on true facts (the conquest of Alba) so it is not pretty presisamente (Romans, blood, war) and yet ... I think I get to the story as best he could have been. Rebind the name of the vanquished, filled with a glory that had refused the Roman invasion giving a new meaning to "Vistoria of Alba." Personally I loved it.
The end ... ESE end ... was wonderful. Cry, laughed, sighed and went to mourn. This is the final expected, though not entirely predictable (to me surprised) at a point of the story I thought, "Jules has done it again ... anything could happen from now!". It has romance, spirituality, tears, force, air renewal ... has everything a good ending should have. Although to be honest, I was a terrible taste in finished reading. Soon I realized it was not because the book itself, but with sadness that after many years of keeping alive and strong in my memory the adventures of Rhiann and Eremon, these are definitely over ... I still am a bit sad, but I finally understand that that good books are those that are dying to read the end, but at the same time do not want it for the world to end.
In a nutshell ... Super I love it and recommend it.
An excellent work of Jules Watson. I give him a super
5

dying to read the ending, but do not want to end ever.
